Part 1 | The Diamond Swap
The Poor Bride
Elena Vance looked like the perfect, humble bride. For three years, she had lived as a simple girl — working low-paying jobs, wearing second-hand clothes, and never revealing her true identity as the sole heiress of the powerful Vance Diamond Empire.
She wanted real love. Not money. Not status.
Today was her wedding day with Justin Thorne.
The Arrogant Groom
Justin stood at the altar in his expensive tuxedo, smiling confidently. His mother, Beatrice, sat in the front row with a smug expression, looking down on Elena the entire time.
They both believed Elena was just a poor, naive girl who got lucky.
The Humiliating Moment
When Justin slipped the ring onto Elena’s finger, she felt the stone was wrong — dull, scratched, and cheap.
It was plastic.
In that moment, Elena remembered the hidden camera she had seen earlier: Beatrice telling Justin to keep the real family heirloom diamond for “a better match” and give Elena the fake one because “she’s too poor to know the difference.”
The Mask Begins To Crack
Elena looked at the fake ring, then at Justin’s proud smile. She slowly pulled her hand back.
The cheap plastic ring fell onto the marble floor with a hollow, embarrassing sound that echoed through the silent church.
Gasps rippled through the guests.
Elena looked straight into Justin’s eyes and spoke with dangerous calm:
“You really thought I was too poor to notice a fake diamond?”

Never give a fake ring to a woman… especially when she owns the mine.
